Hundreds of area residents will enjoy the great one-stop shopping opportunity presented by this local home improvement event that brings together more than 60 exhibitors and offers tons of information and advice for adding beauty and value to your home. This year’s event will take place on Saturday April 10, 2010 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Walter Reed Community Center, 2909 16th St. S., Arlington VA 22204. Many experts will be on hand to offer valuable information, products and services.
Area contractors report that remodeling activity in Arlington, Alexandria, and other close-in communities remains strong, despite the weakened economy. With property values here holding better than in most areas, many homeowners are seeing the benefit of expanding and/or renovating, and are choosing to invest in their homes. For these folks the Arlington Home Show is a convenient way to learn about remodeling kitchens and baths, finishing or waterproofing basements, replacing windows and doors, as well as flooring, roofing, gutter, paint, and paving solutions. The show will also include professionals who can assist with decks and patios, home security systems, and more. In addition, several area banks with especially attractive rates will be on hand to help finance remodeling projects.
In addition, with high energy costs and growing environmental consciousness people here are especially interested in finding ways to use sustainable building materials and make their homes more energy efficient. Many exhibitors will offer giveaways, and many will be offering special discounts to Home Show attendees.
The show will also include a variety of FREE classes/seminars on subjects of interest to residents and landlords. Exhibitors from ArlingtonCounty and area non-profits will also be available to offer valuable advice and assistance to those who attend.
The 4th annual Arlington Home Show & Expo is being presented by the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization (CPRO) in partnership with Arlington County’s Housing Division. CPRO organizes this event as a service to local residents and to help local businesses.
